Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has renewed a hosting deal eHosting DataFort (eHDF) to provide replication and backup for the DFM website.

DFM renews hosting deal with eHDF

The site provides trading information and other data to investors at DFM, and eHDF has been delivering 99.98% availability since the initial contract was signed in 2005.

The contract provides for complete replication and backup for the DFM website, along with other managed services, to provide a backup in case of service interruption, high levels of demand or other occurrences that could risk the availability of the service. In addition, eHDF offers services such as regular reviews on critical aspects of technology and continuous monitoring and load balancing to ensure services are always available. Data is transferred to the servers at the eHDF data centres in real time using a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) connection to update the servers, storage and applications.

DFM said that eHDF's Tier 3 data centres, ISO certifications and high availability of service were strong factors in renewing the deal.

Hasan Abdulrahman Al Serkal, executive vice-president, chief operations officer (COO), Head of Operation Division, Dubai Financial Market, said: "We partnered with eHosting DataFort for ensuring high availability of services to our customers. eHDF is also ISO and Business Continuity Management certified and with a Tier 3 data centre hosting we are assured with high quality of service and security. The company additionally complements our own in-house IT capabilities and the relationship has thus far proved to be a win-win situation."

Yasser Zeineldin, CEO, eHosting DataFort, said: "Over the years, we have developed an excellent synergy with DFM that goes beyond a normal client-supplier relationship. We have a comprehensive understanding of our client's business and their associated requirements. In line with this, our team works round-the-clock to ensure the delivery of a seamless world class hosting service."
